Why aren't my trigger messages sending for certain designations?

Last updated: February 5, 2026

If your trigger messages are working for some designations but not others, this is likely due to using the wrong designation rule type for your organization's architecture.

Multi-allocated vs Single Designation Architecture

Organizations on our multi-allocated architecture need to use designation allocations rules instead of singular designation rules in their triggers.

If you're experiencing this issue and you have multi-designation activated on your account:

  1. Check if your working triggers are using designation allocations rules

  2. Update your non-working triggers to use designation allocations instead of singular designation rules

You can identify the correct rule type by searching for "designation" in your trigger configuration. Look for the "designation allocations" option under the Transaction Data section rather than the singular "designation" option.

Note: Organizations on multi-allocated architecture do not have access to singular designation rules, which is why triggers using this rule type will not send messages.
