Understanding Payout Records and Deposit Schedules by Payment Processor

WeGive handles payouts differently depending on the payment processor you're using. Here's how payout records and deposit schedules work for each processor type:

Payout Record Behavior by Processor

Payrix and Finix

  • Payout records are created in WeGive

  • WeGive handles the setup and configuration for these processors

  • Deposit schedules run daily by default

Stripe

  • Payout records are created in WeGive

  • Deposit schedules are configured in your Stripe dashboard or via API

  • WeGive ingests payout data from Stripe and displays it in your WeGive dashboard

PayPal and Venmo

  • Payout records are NOT created in WeGive

  • Deposit schedules must be configured in your PayPal dashboard or via API

  • You'll need to manage these payouts directly through your PayPal account
