The Donor Registration Experience
Last updated: February 25, 2026
This article describes what a donor sees when registering for an event from start to finish.
Registration Flow (Step by Step)
Ticket Selection — Donor picks a ticket type and quantity. If a discount code field is available, they enter it here.
Registrant Details — Donor fills in their name, email, and any custom questions configured on the event.
Waiver (if required) — Donor must sign or accept the waiver before proceeding.
Payment (if tickets are paid) — Donor enters payment information. Fee coverage is shown here if enabled.
Confirmation — Donor sees a success card and receives a confirmation email.
What the Donor Sees Per Access Type
Access Type | Registration Outcome |
Public | Registration confirms immediately |
Approval Required | Registration is submitted as pending; donor is notified when approved or rejected |
Invite-Only | Donor must have received an invitation; uninvited visitors cannot access the form |
⚠ Things to Watch For
If an event has no ticket types published, donors see an error and cannot register even if the event is live.
Custom questions appear on the registrant details step, not on a separate page.
On mobile, each step is displayed as a full-screen view. The flow is the same.
