Recurring Donations Not Syncing

Symptoms
Recurring donation plans are failing to sync between WeGive and Virtuous. You see errors in your Integration Logs related to recurring gifts, or recurring plans are creating integration locks.
Root Cause
Virtuous only supports a specific set of recurring donation frequencies. If a recurring plan in WeGive uses a frequency that Virtuous does not support, the sync will fail every time it tries to push that plan.
Supported frequencies: Monthly, Biweekly, Quarterly, Yearly, Daily, First and 15th
Not supported: Weekly, Semi-annually
How to Resolve
Step 1: Identify the Affected Plans
Check Data > Integration Locks for any locked recurring donation records. You can also check Data > Integration Logs and filter by the recurring donation data type to see which plans are failing.
Step 2: Update the Frequency
For each affected recurring plan, update the frequency to one that Virtuous supports. Work with the donor if needed to choose the best alternative. For example, a weekly donor might switch to biweekly or monthly.
Step 3: Remove Unsupported Frequencies from Checkouts
Prevent this from happening again by removing unsupported frequency options from your checkout forms:
In WeGive, go to Elements > Checkouts
Edit each checkout that offers recurring giving
In the Recurring section, uncheck Weekly and Semi-annually
Save your changes
Repeat for every active checkout.
Step 4: Clear Integration Locks
Go to Data > Integration Locks
Select the affected recurring plan records
Click Archive
Once the frequency has been updated to a supported option and the lock is cleared, the plan will sync on the next integration cycle.

Remove unsupported recurring frequencies from all checkouts before enabling the Virtuous integration. This is covered in Prerequisites & Before You Begin.
