Why does a failed transaction not have a processor ID present in transaction details?
Last updated: April 6, 2026
If a transaction fails and no processor ID appears in the transaction details, it means the transaction was unable to reach the payment processor. Because the processor never received the request, there is no processor ID to display.
This most commonly happens when there is an issue with the payment method on file — for example, if the card data could not be verified before being sent for processing. It can also occur if there is a temporary connectivity issue between WeGive and the payment processor.
What to do:
Check the Error Description in the transaction details for more information about what went wrong.
Try updating your payment method and attempting the transaction again.
If the problem continues, contact WeGive support for further assistance.
Note: If a failed transaction does show a processor ID, it means the payment processor received the request but was unable to process it (for example, due to insufficient funds or an expired card). The Error Description will explain the specific reason.
